Canadian Company Finds New Uses for Discarded Seatbelts

December 15th, 2015 by

A company called U.S.E.D. (Unlimited Supplies from Everyone’s Discards) is taking old seatbelts from junkyard cars and restoring them as handbags, shoulder bags, backpacks, courier bags, totes, and other accessories.

The mantra of the organization is to “repurpose industrial waste and educate the public by creating functional, fabulous, fun environmentally beneficial products.”

These new seatbelt products can be found at various retail locations (in Winnipeg at The Closet Chick – 956 Portage) or you can even order a custom-made one online – they can’t guarantee they’ll have the colors you’re looking for but will do their best to create something as close as possible to meet your specifications.
